GreenGPS

GreenGPS is an easy-to-deploy inexpensive participatory sensing system that performs data collection, generalizes sparse samples of high-dimensional spaces to develop models of fuel consumption and build a general but personalizable fuel-saving navigation system. Challenges include scalable algorithms for estimating the location and type of traffic regulators from collected GPS traces and ensuring model reliability throughout the lifetime of the service, especially during the early deployment stages.
